LLA

LLA (fka Little London Arts) is about promoting and encouraging creative activity in the widest sense for learning, therapy, enjoyment, or whatever else it does for you, whether that’s making things, going to the theatre, appreciating architecture or exploring nature. We aim to offer opportunities that are affordable for everyone through providing subsidised free or low-cost activities.

Our main activity currently is the Cultural & Social Outings programme of trips to a wide range of sites around the city and region. This is aimed at people over 50 who experience – or are at risk of – various forms of exclusion or isolation, and would benefit from increased opportunities to get out and about with others.

In the words of some:
“This project has been a godsend. It’s given me something to look forward to when I get a place on a trip”
“It’s nice to use skills with other people”
“I don’t like to just go on a trip for the sake of it, but to contribute something”
“It kept up my confidence going to the theatre, going out on my own”
“To socialise, to venture out, to see nice places and to belong”

Come and join our friendly people!

We are part of Arts Together because every opportunity to share information, ideas, experiences and resources is potentially valuable in more ways than we can imagine.

As a small organisation it’s generally just me here. From photography, starting with an old Brownie camera at age 6, to teaching arts & crafts and managing creative projects, my interests lie far and wide. If you come on one of our trips, I’ll be there to meet you!
