SAA-uk

South Asian Arts-uk (SAA-uk) is a centre of excellence in Indian Classical Music and Dance. For over 20 years we have been focused on educating, celebrating and promoting South Asian classical music and dance, striving to enrich people’s lives through engagement and participation in these artforms.

Our small yet dedicated and passionate team of staff and artists is committed to commissioning, producing, presenting and championing new artistic expressions and presenting the very best of South Asian classical music and dance and we strive to represent the diversity of global communities contained in 21st Century Britain.

“What you at SAA-uk do and provide is so utterly different! And, consequently, it ‘works’ – for the benefit of all, performers and audience alike. That’s real and vibrant communication!”

“It was good to experience other cultures and art at first hand. Brilliant event, well done to all at SAA-uk!”

We are part of Arts Together because we all have in common a passion for ensuring arts and culture are made accessible to everyone and as far reaching as possible.

  • Keranjeet Kaur Virdee

I’m SAA-uk’s C.E.O and Artistic Director, a role I grew into organically - very much in line with SAA-uk's own growth. For me the arts are a vehicle to empower and unlock the creative potential in people and this is what drives my life and vision for the organisation.

  • Barbara Cardone

I have a long-term passion for the arts, and I believe they can have a positive impact on every single person out there. In my role I have found the perfect opportunity to develop SAA-uk’s ongoing relationship with its audiences and expand its reach in new and creative ways.
