Pyramid

We invest in people with a learning disability through the discovery, development and disruption of the arts. Our goal is to help people with a learning disability to discover the arts, develop their talents to become world-class artists. We also disrupt the social and institutional barriers that prevent them from being recognised, supported and celebrated.

We do this through collaborative art groups, including a programme for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as providing one-on-one creative support and professional development opportunities.

“Pyramid has given me opportunities and experiences to unlock my creative potential and grow as an artist” – Liam Hirst (Development team artist)

We are part of Arts Together because we want to make art work for everyone.

People you may meet

  • James Hill – Director

I have been director at Pyramid now for 5 years and I love it. I plan ways to help Pyramid develop as an organisation, secure project funding and raise awareness of the work we do here at Pyramid. Fun fact: I have a dog called Rocket.

  • Sarah Cockburn – Operations Manager

I have been working at Pyramid forever, well almost, just over 11 years now. I am responsible for implementing and maintaining procedures, managing the charities finances and updating policies. Fun fact: I like sharks and board games.

  • Alice Clayden – Administrator

I started volunteering with Pyramid 5 years ago after I graduated. Since then I have worked as an artist, a core worker with Pyramid and I have been the administrator for the charity since 2018. Fun fact: I like to go travelling and wear big earrings, ideally at the same time.
