Harewood House

Harewood House Trust is an independent charitable educational trust set up to maintain and develop Harewood, its collections and grounds, for the public benefit.

Harewood sits in the heart of Yorkshire and is one of the Treasure Houses of England. The House was built in the 18th century and has art collections to rival the finest in Britain. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions of contemporary art, while exploring our Farm Experience and over 100 acres of gardens.

Harewood aspires to be an open, inclusive and engaging space for everyone, and to find ways to play our part as a resource for our community and neighbours.

We are excited to be working with local community groups to develop and deliver 70 x 7 THE MEAL: LUCY AND JORGE ORTA, a participative artwork on the Terrace as part of Leeds 2023.

We had a wonderful day that far exceeded our expectations. The workshop was excellent – the children were engaged throughout and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Harewood is a wonderful resource and the children are truly amazed by the size and wonder of it all!

We are part of Arts Together because we want to work with other organisations to create a welcoming environment and break down barriers that stop people accessing art, history and culture.
