So a bit about ourselves… we are a small, but mighty, team here at The Dance Studio Leeds! Our team is headed up by founder Katie, who is a trained professional dancer and teacher, and has worked incredibly hard since opening in 2009 to create a welcoming space and provide a variety of services, including studio hire, adult dance classes, team building activities, party packages, educational outreach and wedding dance tuition! We pride ourselves in being a welcoming, relaxed environment and offer a professional, friendly service, whether you’re a complete beginner, professional dancer, hen party goer or corporate client.
The Dance Studio Leeds are proud to provide top class freelance dance teachers, taking the benefits of dance out to schools, colleges, universities, businesses and organisations. Our wide range of educational opportunities include; After school, lunchtime and evening clubs, classes and workshops; Youth troupe coaching; Show choreography and assistance; Project support and Dance teacher career portfolio development. As well as this, The Dance Studio Leeds, can also provide team building dance workshops to businesses and organisations tailored to the clients needs, either coming to the workplace or venue across Yorkshire, or hosting at our studio.
“Dance Studio Leeds ran four one-hour street dance workshops at DISC’s Service User Conference. We had a large attendance, with different ranges of abilities and Katie structured her sessions to meet everybody’s needs. She interacted really well with each group and everybody left tired but smiling! The feedback we received from service users was fantastic!”
We are part of Art Together because we would like to make our work and venue as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. It will be great to hear from other organisations how they are improving their reach and hopefully be able to support and collaborate with each other.

Hi, I’m Ceris and am a Studio Manager at DSL, and freelance dance teacher. I love being an active part in providing dance to the local community and the variety in my job role. I have loved dance from a young age (even when I was made to wear an all-in-one yellow unitard!) and am so fortunate to be doing something I am passionate about.

Hi my name's Jess and I am a receptionist and administrator at The Dance Studio Leeds, as well as a freelance teacher and dancer. One of my earliest dance memories was performing a dance to Cruella De Vil at my first ever show, dressed as a dalmatian puppy, including face paint!
