Meeting Point
Meeting Point is a social community project working with refugees and asylum seekers. We run a drop-in, English classes and a women’s group and provide short and longer term support for individuals and families. We are based at Christ Church in Armley.
We get involved in various arts projects throughout the year. We attend musical performances through Opera North, attend plays with West Yorkshire Playhouse and have recently taken part in Yorkshire Sculpture International as a community partner. We try to offer arts and cultural opportunities and trips to our beneficiaries as often as possible due to the positive impact it has on emotional well being.
We are part of Arts Together because of the amazing opportunities it offers community organisations and their beneficiaries. It has such a positive impact on the emotional wellbeing and mental health of refugees and asylum seekers living in Leeds and we are proud, and honoured, to be a part of it.
