Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah

We work with skilled artists and writers to make high quality theatre. Through our work we create rich opportunities for experiential learning using compelling stories that matter.  Our performances invite audiences to draw on what they know, feel and think to engage with big questions and develop new understandings about themselves and the world.

We have over 30 years of experience behind us engaging young and intergenerational audiences in theatres, community settings and museums.

“The families at the centre are very vulnerable…I had no idea quite how the audience would react…the performance was amazing though, the actors held the attention of a much wider age range (and quite young audience members)…the children clearly enjoyed the performance…I was most impressed by your company’s professionalism. I know this will have had a huge and positive impact on the children.”

We are part of Arts Together because we want to be able to engage audiences from different walks of life, throughout the city and across ages and encourage them to be a part of a bigger conversation inspired by our performances.

People you may meet

  • Deborah Pakkar-Hull, Artistic Director

I am in charge of devising, directing and managing a range of drama and theatre projects and performances with and for children and young people and their teachers and parents/carers. I set the artistic vision and oversee company operations. In my spare time I enjoy hill walking and have recently successfully grown my first crop of spuds!

  • James Whittle, Administrator

I oversee the smooth running of the Blahs: from managing the office and writing contracts, to the joys of ensuring legal compliance! Outside the Blahs I’m a composer who works a lot in community settings, and a fan of puns and the great outdoors, where I can often be found making up silly songs.
