Impressions Gallery is a charity that helps people understand the world through photography.
The entrance to Impressions Gallery is at street level. Power assisted doors are in operation and there is a passenger lift to the first floor, where we are located. Baby changing facilities are available in both female and accessible toilets. There is a dedicated disabled toilet. Seating is always available in the gallery.
An induction loop is fitted at the Welcome Desk and portable hearing loops are available on request for tours, talks and other events in the galleries. Hearing dogs are welcome.
Lighting levels throughout the building are bright. Occasionally, our exhibitions require dimmed lighting in the gallery. Please check the exhibition page for details. Free large print information (in a minimum font size of 17 points) is available. Braille information sheets are available on request from the friendly welcome desk. We welcome Guide and Assistance dogs.
There is a lift in our main entrance area to the first floor, where Impressions Gallery is located. There is no change of level once on the first floor. Baby changing facilities are available in both female and accessible toilets. Gallery Trails and/or family activities are available for free, though donations are always welcome.
We provide free large print information sheets printed on yellow paper. We strive to use Plain English throughout the gallery.
Impressions is a member of Dementia Action Alliance and is working to become dementia friendly.
We are members of Age-friendly Standards, which means we value all generations and want to provide a welcoming and positive experience for everyone, regardless of their age.
