Fuse Art Space is a gallery, art space, performance venue and shop in Bradford city centre. Founded in 2014 by Sarah Faraday (who curates the exhibitions) and James Birchall (aka Rough Fields), Fuse Art Space hosts exhibitions, artist talks, film screenings, workshops and performances, and we stock a wide range of art books, magazines (fancy ones, glossy ones, DIY ones, photocopied ones), prints, cassettes, vinyl, CD’s and other objects of artistic merit. In the shop, we keep the quality high and the prices low; mainly to make sure people have reasonable access to great stuff. As far as our exhibitions go, they’re always free.

We host concerts of a wide range of music on a weekly basis – past guests have included Awesome Tapes From Africa, Philip Jeck, BJ Nilsen, Space Dimension Controller, Basic House, John Chantler, Helm, Asiq Nargile, King Ayisoba, David Grubbs, Tara Jane Oneil, Illum Sphere, Robert Millis, Lafidki, Wanda Group, Victor Herrero, Petrels, MV Carbon and dozens of others. Check the archives to see what we’ve been up to.

We’re open from Wednesday to Saturday, 11:00 – 18:00, and other times for special events – keep your eye on the events section, or even better subscribe to our mailing list to stay up to date. We have regular in-stores and signings by artists and performers, and sometimes we might need to operate an RSVP system, so don’t miss out.

We gratefully acknowledge the support and assistance of the Arts Council of England and Bradford City Council.
