The Arts Development Team
The Arts Development Team at Leeds City Council supports arts organisations across the city and delivers a programme of cultural events throughout the year
We aim to:
- create opportunities for local people to take part in the cultural life of the city
- support local artists and arts organisations working in communities
- promote partnership working within the arts and cultural sector
The arts@leeds programme provides support and grants for cultural, voluntary and community organisations to provide opportunities for residents from across the city to engage in cultural activity as a participant, an attendee or a creator.

We are part of Arts Together because we are passionate about breaking down barriers for everyone in Leeds to have the opportunity to experience quality cultural provision and encouraging the Leeds cultural sector to do the same.

As the Arts Development Manager my aim is support the people of Leeds to enjoy and participate in the arts. I work with artists to support them to create work for the city. Being from Leeds I am proud of our arts organisations and the activities they deliver. When I was at school Opera North came in and did a workshop with my class and I knew then I wanted to get involved in the arts.
