livingwell offers creative services rooted in creativity-wellbeing-nature connection.
Often situating itself in the creative health context, livingwell shares nervous system and trauma in formed services with anyone involved. Previous partners and collaborators include Mafwa Theatre, Leeds 2023, East Street Arts, Leeds Refugee Forum, Thackray Museum of Medicine and other creative health organisations and projects across West Yorkshire.
livingwell’s offer includes creative workshops and services rooted in natural colour, work and learning with natural materials & resources and sustainable practices. livingwell shares experiences in gardening, creative growing and foraging and is always on a look out for new projects, collaborations and creative inspiration.
livingwell usually gets subcontracted or works on a commission with other organisations or projects. This includes running specialist workshops and courses for various audiences. Our previous audiences were communities from hyper-local urban areas, users of wellbeing or creative health services, migrant communities – refugees and asylum seekers and neurodivergent communities. livingwell specialises in supporting neurodivergent communities. Previously, we offered eco-art club, tailored on demand workshops and long-term projects designed and delivered for particular brief.
“Thank you so much for your workshop in Wakefield at the weekend. I really enjoyed learning a new skill. It was fun, messy and very informative in a lovely friendly atmosphere.
“At the time I was dubious about my efforts, but after drying, mounting and binding I’m thrilled with the results.
“I mounted them on cotton rag paper and tied it with a hand-dyed silk ribbon and entitled it ‘Phantom Flora’.
“It has left me wanting to experiment and explore more.”
We are part of Arts Together because …

I am livingwell Founder. I set it up in 2021 inspired by my own lived experiences of long-term struggles with wellbeing and physical health and late in life autism diagnosis. Accessing my recovery by spending time in nature, reconnecting with the land and getting stuck in gardening and growing for pleasure fuelled my passion for sharing these practices in creative ways with others who may find themselves struggling with similar hurdles like I used to.
