Leeds Heritage Theatres
Leeds Heritage Theatres is a charity bringing together three cultural venues with a rich and vibrant history: Leeds Grand Theatre, City Varieties Music Hall and Hyde Park Picture House.
Across our three venues, our Learning and Engagement programme creates safe places to learn, make connections and have fun. Nearly every day of the year, we invite young people to experience the magic of theatre and film.
We run a varied programme of activities, including youth theatre for 8-18s, actors training for 18-25s, school workshops and tours, technical theatre training, work experience projects, after school clubs, holiday activities, family-friendly screenings and activities at the cinema, and more.

I am Creative Learning Producer, and I oversee the development of creative opportunities for young people including Leeds Grand Youth Theatre, Leeds Actors in Training, and outreach projects. I also manage partnerships between LHT and other arts organisations in Leeds. I have loved theatre since reception, when I was in a class production of The Gingerbread Man!

I am a Learning and Engagement Officer, and I plan and deliver a range of creative workshops with young people, from school visits and youth theatre sessions, to our LHT Unwrapped holiday activities. From the age of 7, I took part in a youth theatre, which is where I fell in love with the arts; my favourite role was Lily St Regis in Annie.

I am Learning and Engagement Coordinator, so you might hear from me about visits, workshops and rehearsals. I communicate with teachers and partners, and help to promote the work of the team. A fun fact: one of my earliest memories is travelling to a nearby city to see the panto for my birthday.
