Funded workshop
This workshop supports community leaders to confidently address the fall-out surrounding acts of community violence, most notably the riots of August 2024. It will provide contextual understanding of issues like Islamophobia and the Far Right, as well as root causes of violent disorder. It also equips participants with skills and confidence to support impacted communities.

  • Better understand the role of extreme far right ideologies, mis-and-dis-and-malinformation, as well as concepts like Islamophobia, anti-migrant, racism and anti-Muslim hate.
  • More informed on the realities and consequences communities will face for involvement in criminal activity; via testimonial from lived experience facilitators.
  • Better understand the role of identity in community violence: e.g masculinity, race, ethnicity.
  • Be up-skilled in tools to conduct difficult, trauma informed conversations with impacted communities.
  • Be skilled in practical tips to stay safe both on and offline; learnt via role-play.

This is an interactive workshop that includes activities and discussion. Please register your interest as an individual or organisation, by emailing [email protected]
