How do you turn a creative idea into a funded project? In this special 1-on-1 session with Aire Place Studios’ Creative Director, Sarah Francis, you’ll get tailored guidance to help move your ideas forward and navigate the often-confusing world of funding.

Whether you’re at the very beginning of a project or refining a funding application, this is a chance to talk through your goals, identify the right opportunities, and get personalised advice on how to communicate your ideas clearly and confidently.

We’ll explore how to build stronger applications, avoid common pitfalls, and align your funding approach with your creative values and capacity. You’ll leave with practical next steps, new confidence, and a better understanding of how to fund the work you want to make.

Bring a seed of an idea, a draft application, or simply your questions—this session is for artists at all stages.

These sessions are heavily subsidised, but not free, thanks to generous funding from Leeds City Council. To keep things accessible, we offer three ticket tiers based on income: £5, £10, and £15, plus the Eventbrite booking fee. Please choose the ticket that best reflects what you can afford—your support helps us continue offering affordable opportunities for the creative community.
