Free Piano Lessons in The Light

Sian Hughes is a freelance music teacher and accompanist based in Shipley, West Yorkshire. She has over thirty year’s experience teaching piano, woodwind, theory of music and curriculum-based musical content to students from early years through primary and secondary age to adult.

Sian has a music degree from the University of Huddersfield and a PGCE in primary education with a music specialism. She currently works in a range of settings and from home, as both a music teacher and primary curriculum specialist. Sian loves to share her joy in music with her students and supports them in developing their technical skills, confidence and musicality through the study of music from a wide range of styles and genres. All Sian’s lessons are bespoke, designed to help the individual student make progress towards their own goals, be that aiming for exams, competitions and performances or simply playing for pleasure and mental well-being.
