About the event
Northern Star Organ Trio are a groovy Hammond trio playing 60s soul, jazz, funk, boogaloo, bossa nova and blues.
The trio – Bob Birch, Robert Bromhead and Bruce Renshaw – perform at festivals and events across the north. Each member is a talented performer with an impressive musical résumé – past bands include the spectacularly popular The New Mastersounds, gypsy jazz group Appel4, and Leeds barnstormers Meanwood Valley Stompers.
The band have already amassed a keen fanbase and aroused the interest of venues and jazz festivals across the UK.
Northern Star Organ Trio are a reassuringly talented bunch of professionals. Expect ‘soul jazz’ full of energy, blues and groove, with classics by Booker T and the MG’s, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Wes Montgomery and George Benson, to name just a few. Come along and be impressed.
