Not many movies make such an impact that their names enter into the language. The Rashomon effect (named after this film) is a term related to the notorious unreliability of eyewitnesses.
RASHOMON – a psychological crime thriller where the murder of a man and the rape of his wife is described in four contradictory ways by four witnesses.
