The second programme of five short films nominated for this year’s Film Africa Baobab Award includes Egyptian drama Henet Ward about Halima, a Sudanese henna artist who is called upon to paint the bride-to-be of a well-off Egyptian family, but the day does not go to plan. Ghanaian film Da Yie follows a day in the lives of Matilda and Prince, two impressionable children as they encounter Bogah, an adult with nefarious intentions. Both films are also screening as part of the LIFF 2020 International Short Film Competition.
