Creative Cafe – an in-conversation event as part of the Creative Careers WYCA project

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Creative Café – a special in-conversation event as part of the Creative Careers WYCA project.
Join us for coffee, pastries, and a rich discussion with two inspiring freelance creatives:
 Tuesday 20th May
 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The Bramall, Howard Opera Centre, Harrison Street, Leeds LS1 6PA
Dr Rommi Smith, an award-winning poet, playwright, theatre-maker, and scholar, and Emii Alrai, a Yorkshire-based installation artist who subverts traditional museum narratives, will be sharing insights into their creative practices, navigating the freelance world, and what it means to build a sustainable creative career.
Whether you’re just starting out or have years of freelance experience, this event offers a chance to learn, ask questions, and connect with other creatives in the region.
Coffee and pastries provided – come for the inspiration, stay for the snacks!
Please keep an eye on the Creative Careers – Arts Together website, where we’ll also share a poster for the event shortly. Feel free to share it widely with your networks.
We look forward to seeing you there!
