Avanti Media have been commissioned by BBC Arts to produce an unprecedented two hour special titled Life Drawing Live! For BBC4, airing at a prime-time slot early February and we are looking for budding amateur artists to take part.
Life Drawing Live! will make Television history as an interactive, non competitive, life drawing lesson for the nation, under the guidance of award winning professional artists Daphne Todd OBE and Lachlan Goudie. The event will demonstrate the rigour and discipline of a traditional life drawing class through the work of our specially selected artists in the studio, inviting our viewers to try along at home and to send in their submissions. The programme will have models of all shapes and sizes tastefully posing as seen in life drawing lessons held throughout art history.
As the bedrock of art history and art education, life drawing is a fundamental opening into art. We’d love to include a range of non-professional artists of all levels and backgrounds in the programme, to inspire the nation to take up life drawing!
