This May, Leeds Playhouse Community Tour is heading out across the city with MakeBeth — a playful, interactive, craft-along adventure inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Directed by Ian Nicholson and designed by multi-award-winning Sam Wilde.
Perfect for children aged 7–11 and their families, MakeBeth transforms Shakespeare’s darkest tragedy into a laugh-out-loud cardboard spectacular, bursting with live music, puppetry and creative fun.
During the session, audiences won’t just watch the story — they’ll help make it. You might find yourself crafting witches, rustling through Birnam Wood, mixing up ingredients for a witches’ brew, or helping Lady Macbeth scrub away that very stubborn spot.
Bring your imagination. Bring your best cackle. We’ll bring the cardboard (The more the merrier! Bring your own!)
